Arika and her Cha Cha Cha Changes
Hi there everyone - WOW while I really enjoyed the Holidays, I am kind of happy they are over and things are getting back to normal. I finally got my son down from his sugar high and school starts tomorrow.
I hope you are enjoying reading my CBC with Arika. I really am enjoying getting to know more about her, her business and her family.
The last time I posted to Arika, I posted that I noticed her Blog was looking better and better each time I looked over there. I knew she was up to something but I had no clue what. So, being the upfront person that I am. I asked Arika what her future plans were for her blog. Be sure to read her inspiring answer here she has some great ideas coming up and hey, when I was there today, I could notice changes are already taking place. She doesn’t waste any time!
Well here is the question that Arika had for me.
“Recently, you announced that you will be a first time Grandma this Spring. Congratulations, but I must know, was it a hard pill to swallow at first? If so, once the initial shock wore off, how do you feel about it now?”
Wow, what a question…
Yes, I will be a 38 year old grandmother this Spring and yes Arika is right, the pill was very hard to swallow. As a matter of fact, I choked on it for a day or so until I finally swallowed it down.
Shayna (my 20yo daughter) is pregnant and due on May 27th and I have to say that I am so happy, excited, anxious and nervous that I can hardly stand it! I can’t WAIT to meet my Grandson!
Shay came to visit over the holidays and one of my biggest joys was taking her Bra shopping (remember how your boobs doubled in size before your 20th week..LOL) Well, we went shopping for bras and hip maternity clothes and it was just the best feeling. I got to talk to my grandson and feel him quick quite a few time.
I guess you can say I am as excited as a Granny-To-Be can be!! As her due date approaches, I will fly down to Florida (she lives in Tallahassee and attends FAMU), I will be staying there for 2 full weeks to help her get adjusted to new motherhood.
Well before I get too sappy – Let me lay my next question on Arika..
“You are an excellent VA (I’ve had the honor of working with you for about 2yrs now). Can you tell us what drew you into the VA business and what you love the most about being a VA”
