Let’s face it; no one can do it all without experiencing the suffering and stress related conditions adherent to the every day demands placed upon them. Suffice to say, many moms have tried; some have been successful, while others have been immeasurably consumed by its consequences. The super mom syndrome is exacting a very heavy toll on their home life, business, and physical well-being. Thirty years ago, the top TV shows were exclusively focused on the housewife; the mom. Conversely, the shows today highlight single working moms who effortlessly juggle all of the demands placed upon them with flair and ease. Yes, they sometimes showcase the conflict; but quite frankly, the hype is more conducive to ratings than to real life situations.
The super mom syndrome has produced an A type personality, which has contributed to the imbalance and unrealistic expectations imposed by moms who think they can do it all; but soon realize perfectionism can never outweigh the happiness and fulfillment of simply being a mom, without all of the peripheral trappings.
There is no need to suffer any longer. You need to find a balance; prioritize that which is most important; the children first. They will eventually grow up, leaving you with the inconsolable desire to retrieve their childhood years. Resist the temptation to totally immerse yourself in one area. Stay healthy; keep your friends close, and don’t worry about tomorrow – live within the moment, cherish your family. You are the heart of the house; you don’t need to be perfect, you just need to be a mom.

I don’t know where to start with this one. 5 years ago I stumbled upon internetBasedMoms.com with an Herbalife and an Avone Business just trying to earn some mone. Well, I don’t Think Alice Seba could get me off of her with a STICK!! I’ve learned so much there and made so many friends and from that first post over 5 years ago my businesses began to grow.
There are so many online family memebers I’d love to recognize and I am afraid I will miss a few but here’s my list
All of the people and resources above have really helped me to develop into a good business woman that isn’t shy to take a few well calculated risks, put ne products out there and really go out of my way to assist other. THANKS
I still have plenty to learn and I will be staying close to the ladies above in order to do so
Also I’ve been Twittering with a bunch of FANTASTIC Gals daily and I want to thank ALL of you for keeping me motivated, celebrating my “wins” with me and being there when I am down! THANKS Twit-sisters.
Feel free to share what you are thankful here in the comments

Have you ever met a person and within moments of talking tothem you just *clicked*? Well, thats just how it was for Kim and I.
I met Kim over 11 years ago on the job where she served as a the Office Manager for our company. She was funny, smart, down to early and just loved to get a good job done. She is brilliant in the field of office managemaent so I quickly fell under her wings to learn all that I could learn about he Administrative field and we slowly became friends then quickly became best friends. She catered my wedding, I consider her to be the god mother of my children (They all call her Auntie Kim) and she has the most amazing spirit of anyone I know.
She is the type of lady that will lay across the bed with you as you cry and she is also the type of lady that will get up, force you to buy that shiny new dress and go out and Live it up on the town!!
She holds her Doctorate in Metaphysics and is considered to be a Revererd. To me, she is my Soul Mate in a friend. Someone that I count on, someone that I confide in and and she as well can depend and count on me for just about anything!
Thanks Kim for Always being there!
Tell me about one of your friends that you are thankful for.

WOW its hard to believe that my little girl has turned 20 today. I was just 17 and scared to death when I found out that I was pregnant. Heck I was only a Junior in High School and I was going to be a Mother!! NO WAY!
Well, I gave Birth to Shayna Janee’ Williams on November 19, 1987 at just 17years of age and I vowed to alway do my best by her regardless of my age.
It was a HARD, LONG Road but when she was just 1.5yrs. old I took her off to college WITH me where I was awarded a Track and Field scholarship. I can still remember hearing my little girl cheering for me in the stands for the 2 years that I was there and competed. After that our life was filled with bouts of welfare, food stamps, roach-infested apartments but with each job I took, I gained more and more experience into the Administrative field until I was able to “As I see it” Finnaly give my baby girl the life I felt she deserved.
Shay at just 4yrs old
She obviously didn’t gro up in a house filled with lots of money and gifts but there was no shortage of love. On of her fondest memories of her childhood is when we would get ALL dressed up and treat ourselves to a delicious meal at Red Lobster. She used to say that she feelt like a Little Princess in that restaurant so that was my monthly treat to her.
We were and still are pretty inseparable and we have the exact opposite personalities which I believes draws us closer.

Today, Shayna is is now a Junior at FAMU in Tallahhassee, FL and she is 3 months pregnant (YAY) Due on May 27th. She truly has grown into a very smart, beautiful and independant young lady and I am so proud of her.
Happy Birthday Shayna!!
I think our story is a testimate to any mother out there that has hopes and dreams of a better life for herself and her child. It IS possible, it CAN be done, and yes it IS hard! Pray and keep your head up!

Thanksgiving is always a fun time of celebration and eating with your family. Here are some ways to make Thanksgiving even more fun for your family this year.
Thankful cards – Make a card for each family member that will be your guest for Thanksgiving this year. On each card, tell that person what you love most about them, and why you are thankful for them.
Recipe books – A few months before Thanksgiving, write a list of each family member. Beside their name, make a note of their best dish. Call each member and ask for a copy of that recipe, plus one or two of their own favorites that they’d like to share. When you have all the recipes ready, compile them into a booklet and print them, using your computer and printer. (You can also use professional services, if you wish, to make a longer-lasting recipe book.) After your guests all arrive for your Thanksgiving dinner, give them each a copy of your special recipe book.
Mini family scrapbooks – Gather family pictures, if you don’t have many pictures, take them to a local copier and have extra prints made. Purchase mini scrapbooks at a scrapbook supply store, along with stickers, markers and various scrapbook supplies. Create miniature family scrapbooks, using one picture per page. Write what you are thankful for, in relation to each family member, on their designated pages. On Thanksgiving Day, give a copy of your mini family scrapbooks to each family member as a memento.
